Dancer 2 Dancer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that distributes gently used and new dance wear, shoes, and costumes of all kinds to aspiring dancers in surrounding communities with limited resources.
OUR MISSION
Dance means so many things to so many people, but whether it’s ballet or hip-hop, dancers agree that they are connected by a sense of community and joy. All aspiring dancers should get to experience that indescribable feeling of being part of something so meaningful, and that is why we created D2D.
After years of dance classes, competitions, and recitals, we realized so many gently used costumes and new dance apparel were collecting dust in people’s closets (including ours). This inspired us to reach out to other dance communities to see how we could help them by providing dance wear that otherwise might not be available to them. Basically, this was our way of passing along our love and passion for dance!
ABOUT US
We first met in preschool and have been friends ever since! Throughout the years, whether it was playing dress up and choreographing our own routines, or taking dance classes at our favorite studio, our love of dance has remained true and constant.
We both agree there’s nothing quite like putting on that costume and walking up on stage to perform. In many ways, dance has shaped who we are today, and we will always be grateful for having the chance to do something we love so much!
